Facilities and Studio Tour
Lights, Camera... Production
Take a walk through our production facility. |
Control Room
The GIS control room is home to a serial-digital/high definition video mixer capable of handling up to six SD/HD inputs or four composite inputs. The room is also equipped with a 10-input audio board. We use wired mics and a full complement of wireless mics to provide audio to the board. The room also is equipped to provide graphics for broadcast and to stream video and audio to the internet. We are also able to send video/audio to CITN via microwave for live or delayed broadcast. |
“Studio A” – the Conference Room
GIS boasts a well-appointed conference room equipped with a raised dais, podium, sound system and ceiling mounted projector with screen. There is also additional television lighting in place which makes this an ideal location to host press briefings or to record special messages for broadcast. To simplify recording messages of any length, a teleprompter is available and recommended. Government’s live televised press briefings are broadcast from the GIS conference room. |
Production Suite
The GIS’ production suite features networked Apple workstations utilizing a host of editing, compositing, sound, and graphics systems; including Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, Encore and Soundbooth. Our award-winning staff employs these powerful creative tools to create products for television, radio, CD, DVD and the internet. |
On Location
GIS crews are able to go on location to record interviews; archival footage; special events such as the Queen’s Birthday, Heroes Day and the Miss Cayman Islands Pageant; training DVDs; special television or radio messages and more. We have the capability of mixing a multi-camera shoot live and providing that video for recording, broadcast or on-site display. |
